Policy Issues to Support Infants, Toddlers and Caregivers During the Perinatal Period
Please join us to explore this important topic with Dr. Cynthis Osborne. This presentation was part of TTAC's annual conference, Promoting 2-Generation Health during Infancy and the Perinatal Period: Synthesizing Clinical, Research, and Policy Perspectives, which explored cutting-edge research on the critical role of perinatal and parental mental health in fostering resilience and social-emotional well-being in infants and young children. The event highlighted four national experts as they presented a two-generation approach synthesizing clinical, research, and policy issues.
Participants of this session were able to:
- Identify and review 12 policies that are proven to improve outcomes for children and their families
- Recognize how variations in state policy choices lead to a patchwork of benefits and services for families, which leads to wide variation in child wellbeing across the United States
- Recognize that for children to truly thrive, we must build a comprehensive system of support that is equitable and effective
